Pics Starting at upper left and going CCW

My shop is a simple 2+-car garage—I want to keep this site as typical a wood working site as possible; We love to open up the doors and shoot outside when we can—we built a nylon awning to give us better light and better pictures; Michelle uses the Stots Template Master and then tries out the scrollsaw; Sharon (small pic at bottom) tried out the KatieJig; Sal is long time friend (would you believe 1955) and great help in shooting pics, putting together new products and keeping sawdust under control; Samantha is trusty 7 yo golden retriever who loves all the shop activities and visitors (and attention); in the three pics in upper right corner is Bethany a neighbor and law student who spends hours here and there...not as many as most readers would like...will try to correct that; to the left of Bethany is Melanie — a very advanced woodworker who lives in western mass and visited the shop; and upper center is a pic of me really to show you the quiet lake setting (quiet except for occasional router or similar); and below I am working with Karen - the lower picture at the lathe.

Objectives of Site:

My objectives for the site are quite simple. First, to review new products that can help woodworkers — "newbies" and experienced. Second to show step-by-step pics and captions so that readers can really follow—and even print out and use to follow in their shops. Third, I want to use these products, jigs and processes to make real things. Fourth, I want to show some clever tips or methods that may be of interest to all...like sharpening, keeping a planer in tip-top shape.

In the past few months, many readers have emailed me requests for things to review and discuss. So that list plus my review of woodworking forums and wood magazines will give me many things to cover in the upcoming months.

So for those of you that want more Bethany, will do. For those who want more woodworking ideas, will try...maybe do both at the same time. Makes sense to me.

While my "To Do" list is long, I welcome any and all of your comments...always.
