CMT Industrio™ Routing System. This table looks alot like the one below but there are a few updates — namely the large insert plate. We have taken this larger plate and made an "Insert Plate Garage" to hold 3 routers, one drum sander and the new CMT Pocket-Pro™ Joinery System. The "garage" is used by Beth to make raised panels doors.

"Garage" for CMT router table inserts —
This was a fun project for Beth and me to do. The idea came from the CMT Pocket-Pro Joinery Sustem. It comes mounted on the large insert plate that is used by CMT's new router table. Beth mounts 4 PorterCable routers to individual insert plates. The "garage" holds these as well as the Pocket-Pro and an insert plate holding a PorterCable random orbital drum sander. The garage makes a lot of cabinet making a whole lot easier.  Click here to go there.

CMT Pocket-Pro™ Joinery System. This is a brand new pocket hole drilling system designed by Marc Sommerfeld and made by CMT. What's best is that it is precisionly mounted on an insert plate which fits into the new CMT routing table (above).

   CMT Drawer Lock Bit —
Deceptively simple, this bit allows you to make drawers with a tight fitting rabbet. One bit is used for both drawer sides and front/backs. There is a little set-up involved and then you can cut perfect drawers in minutes.

CMT/Lonnie Bird Divided Light Set  —
This is similar to the window sash kit but with some key differences...mainly, you can use it to make divided lights in 4/4 stock — ideal for kitchen/bath cabinets. We use it to make a Mission Style Mirror.

This is a different project — I am making cabinets for Debbie's kitchen and use a new software program to spec out every dimension. I use it with the CMT Sommerfeld Cabinet Making Set and got perfect results.

CMT Slot Cutter for Biscuiting —
You don't have to have a biscuit machine to make great biscuit slots. In fact, your router table may work much better — particularly for some objects, such as large panels.     Click here to go there.

"Using Router as Jointer" with CMT straight bit
This is not a new idea, but many people think that it won't really work. It works and it can work very well. Here I shim the split fence.
This photo shows the setup without using the split fence. Instead, I have made a simple add-on fence with laminate on the outfeed side.

The new CMT fence system has two sets of spacers that allow you to "bump out" the out feed side 1/16" or 1/32" - exactly.

CMT Classic Ogee Bit —
It goes without saying, that a leading bit maker should have lots of different shapes. Here I am using a small classic ogee bit to give the profile to the base for the small clock cases.     Click here to go there.

CMT Saw Blades —
I have always used the best blades in my table saw. It is safer and it gets better cuts. I have two CMT blades that I switch back and forth — the 50 tooth combination and the 24 tooth, thin kerf ripping blade.

CMT Lonnie Bird's Crown Molding Set - a new product from CMT. I used part of this wonderful set months ago in the making of the bar rail (see below.) Now the 6 "upside-down" cutters are part of this kit — these bits combine to allow you to make many different crown moldings. Here is my first use of this great set.   Click here to go there.

CMT Cove Cutter *new product*
This is one very sweet new product from CMT. The cove cutter does just that — cut coves, but the end result is so smooth, very little sanding is required.         Click here to go there.
In the lower photo, I have cut the graceful slope with the cove cutter and now have the CMT Ovolo bit to round over the other corner.

CMT Grand Rabbet Set —
This very complete set includes 16 collars. To keep them from getting lost, I decide to make a simple box from wood I sliced from a fireplace log. I should be simple and elegant — would you believe different. Well, shortly after I started the box, CMT came up with the ultimate storage box for it — in fact, it comes with new sets.

CMT Tenon Maker
When you need precise tenons, use this new CMT Tenon Cutter. It creates tenons from 3/16" to 3/8" thicknesses.
