It is hard to put projects aside for new product reviews
and hospital excursions, but I did and now bring it out to finish. Why? I
need it and I need the MFT top to be off my worktable.
I neglected to add another "excuse" for this tardy
project
and that is a hard disk crash — 27,000 pictures recovered but under one
directory — yikes.
Anyway, Sal shows up in time to cut shelves for both sides.

He uses the new Kapex to make quick work of all the uprights.

Lisa is in the shop so we use the time to take the
under cabinet forward a notch or two. She poses with the tools we would like
to have "at the ready" in this cabinet.

Sooner or later Lisa was sure
to find out that I can make a mistake — in this case, ordered 16" slides but
needed 14". Did I say that she works for my local lumberyard as their
kitchen designer. A solution was only a phone call away.

A couple of weeks ago I displayed a new product from Woodpeckers — the
"Story Stick." (see
Woodpecker Website.)
We have had opportunity to use it a number of times when
building cabinets. The more we use it, the more uses we find. In this case,
Lisa uses it for marking where Domino tenons will go. This white melamine
particle Core board needs all the good joining techniques we can use.
Dominos and glue will work well.
