Last week, I completed the first two pages of this subject, but I did not
explain satisfactorily, how to use the angle guide. We have learned that to make
exact, perpendicular cuts each and every time, that there is a method. This one
picture shows that method. When you lower the guide rail on the work piece, you
should position the angle guide fence (arrow) on the workpiece first and
keep some firm pressure here as you lower the guide. The grip of the guide
rail on the workpiece is so good, that once it is down, nudging it is
difficult — that is good. While it is possible to add a clamp to the guide rail,
we have found that it is rarely needed.
